Book Summary:
The authors feel elated in presenting the new edition of this book. They were inspired to bring this edition due to several factors-the foremost being the suggestions incorporated by CBSE in the newly patterned syllabus for 2015-16 and onward batches students. CBSE has presented the syllabus, crystallising the course-contents and further clarifying through behavioural objectives as to what the students are expected to learn under each topic and sub-topic. Keeping these clarifications in mind, the study material has been made more student and teacher-friendly. As suggested by some teachers of Business Studies the language has been further simplified and more relevant examples have been included.
During the in-service programmes organised for the teachers of Business Studies, some suggestions were given to make this book more meaningful. It was found that both teachers and students try to explore more questions and model answers of the “Value-based” questions. Many valuebased questions given at the end of each chapter have been improved and the students have been suggested to first try the answers of these questions themselves and then to compare their respective answers with the model answers given at the last page of each chapter.
