Best Practices For School Improvement (Research Based Approaches) by Hargrove, Katherine C., M. V. Prasad
Book Summary:
It has been our experience that a great deal of research done in the universities often does not reach the teachers or heads of schools. It usually remains in university libraries and gets discussed only in higher academic circles or conferences to which few school teachers or heads have access. We have made an attempt to delve into research connected with one of the important areas of the school—SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT.
In this book we have reviewed significant educational reforms—including “best practices”—and linked these reforms to needs in global education. The purpose of the book is to stimulate discussion among educators about ways education might benefit from global educational research and to encourage schools to implement changes resulting in improvement.
