There are a number of books available on the subject of Advanced Cost Accounting and Cost Systems available in the learners market but they do not meet the basic requirements of M.Com. Part I students of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. This book is specifically written as per the revised syllabus prescribed for M.Com. Part I students, Semester II from June, 2019. We do hope that this book will definitely help to meet the growing requirements of the students of Advanced Cost Accounting and Cost Systems from the Faculty of Commerce and Management. This book adopts a modern and novel approach towards the study of Application of Cost Accounting in view of the specific requirements of the readers and practitioners of this subject.

All the topics as per the syllabus are explained in simple but apt language. Equal stress is also given for necessary accounting theories and a wide variety of practical problems in the form of illustrations. We have taken appropriate care to incorporate basic cost accounting concepts, cost accounting standards and, tabular and graphical representation of classified cost and profit statements. Part I, Semester II students.
