The air force is one of the challenging professions which is chosen by most of the candidates. Indian Air Force conducts recruitment drive every year to fill in various vacancies across the organization. There are various technical and non-technical posts for which the recruitment drive is conducted. AFCAT is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air Force to recruit candidates for various posts. The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) are entrance exams conducted for aspirants who are willing to join Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer in Flying, Ground Duty(Technical) and, Ground Duty (Non-Technical). So if you are one among the aspirants looking forward to work in the air force, then you must be well prepared for the selection process.
It is a great opportunity for candidates who have cleared 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in Maths and Physics. The AFCAT examination is conducted twice in a year. The first AFCAT exam is already completed in the month of February and the second one will be conducted in the month of August. So to excel in all the rounds of AFCAT 2021, then you must have all the preparation materials. AFCAT 2021 is an online test, conducted in two shifts in the English language. It will consist of 100 objective questions to be solved within a duration of 120 minutes. The maximum marks an aspirant can score in AFCAT 2021 are 300. 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. No marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions.
EKT or Engineering Knowledge Test is a meant to test candidate’s engineering knowledge. The test is compulsory for candidates applying for Technical Ground Duty branch. EKT 2021 is an online test, conducted in two shifts in the English language. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be given. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. There will not be any deduction for un-attempted questions.
Call letters will be sent to all the candidates who clear AFCAT/EKT 2021 to appear for the second stage of selection, that is, Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Testing. AFSB testing will have 2 stages. Qualified candidates from Online Test will have to appear for Stage 1 AFSB Interview at any of the AFSB Centres located at Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar, and Mysuru. AFSB Testing Stage 1 includes the following two tests: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test. AFSB Stage 2 includes the 3 tests: Psychological Tests, Group Tests, Interview Round. Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test is mandatory for only those candidates who have applied for the Flying Branch.
