A Practical Book Of Pharmaceutical Engineering by Dr. Suresh G. Sudke
Book Summary:
Pharmaceutical engineering is a branch of pharmaceutical technology which deals with the study of various principles involved in the unit operations during dosage form manufacturing. Recently, the pharmaceutical technology is undergoing remarkable transformations with the development in novel drug delivery systems. Hence, there is a need for novel technologies and equipment for their manufacturing.
The publication of a book ‘Practical Book of Pharmaceutical Engineering’ gave me an immense pleasure. But on the other hand, it increases the responsibility to provide steadfast information about a very diverse subject which contains the principles of engineering technologies applied to the pharmacy field. This subject was of the least attention by the several universities worldwide. Also, this subject was covered by mostly engineering teachers in most of the pharmacy institutions. Therefore, this subject was not included in the syllabus of many universities. But recently the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) includes this subject as a part of a curriculum which encourages me to bring this book.
